Our Process

A person's hands is cutting a tile with a manual hand tile cutter against a textured wall.

1. Consultation

Our floor tilers begin by understanding the room's function, your aesthetic preferences, and budgetary constraints. From there, we explore various tile options, considering factors such as size, shape, material, and tile quantity. Our goal is to create a floor that complements your design while enhancing the overall ambience and functionality of the space.

2. Preparation

We thoroughly assess the existing surface onsite to identify any irregularities, cracks, or moisture issues. If necessary, we employ levelling compounds or other corrective measures to create a stable and even base. For areas susceptible to moisture, such as bathrooms and kitchens, a moisture test is essential to prevent potential damage.

3. Installation

A suitable adhesive is applied to the prepared floor using a notched trowel to ensure even distribution. Tiles are placed on the adhesive, spaced evenly using tile spacers, and cut to fit around obstacles like pipes and corners using a tile cutter or wet saw. Our floor tile installers then check for levelness using a level to ensure a flat surface.

4. Grouting, Sealing, and Curing

Our team expertly applies grout, filling all joints and removing excess material for a clean finish. The grout can then be cured for the recommended time to achieve optimal strength. If your tiling project is in a wet area, our kitchen and bathroom tilers will apply a sealant for porous tiles to protect against stains and water damage.
